"Indians and Chicanos at the Deganawidah-Quetzalcoatl university, site of the former Army communications center west of Davis, fasted yesterday. They refused the usual Thanksgiving Day feast to dramatize 'the inequities toward our people'. . . " The people at the fast "came from Alcatraz, the Minok reservation at Wilton, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, Red Lake, Sacramento State, and other areas."
